Teaching Practice

Procedures of Teaching
I used procedures that follow the Communicative Language Teaching approach (CLT)

- Warm up

This step I ask the students what they have learnt from last time. I always use some media and music in this step. I use the songs that related with the new lesson that day to make the students excited and to be ready for studying. And then I ask them can you guess what are we going to learn today.

- Presentation
This step I present all the contents to the students. Teach and explain them the lesson. I sometimes use English book and power point.

- Practice
This step is to practice students after they learn from the presentation step. To check them that they understand what I teach them. I always use group activity to make them more active and work with their friends.

- Production
After students get and understand the lesson with the group activity, I let them do some exercises in the book or worksheet.

- Wrap up
This step is to review everything that the students have learnt from today.
Time Management and Organizing Activities
For time management the learning process divided into 5 parts, there are:
Warm up, presentation, practice, production and wrap up.

Problem-Solving
Some students can't speak English that makes me and them can't understand each other. I always use my hands to make them understand what do I say. Some of them was shy and didn't want to speak English with me but I always speak with them in English and sometimes in Bahasa. And some of them tried to talk with me but they can't speak English, so they asks the mentor to tell me in English.

THE BEST MOMENTS

The dinner party for our buddies... Tong and I cooked Thai foods for another friends. And Filipinos also cooked. We had the dinner party together because we wanted to say Terima kasih (means Thank you) and had a good time together. These are some gifts from my lovely students. Farewell Party For the end of the SEA-Teacher project, there was a farewell party at school for saying goodbye. I showed about Thai dancing. When the farewell party finished, I got some gift and the big pictures from school. I was very surprised because it was really good. I don't know how to say thank you enough...
