Opening Ceremony

On the first day,


Tong and I joined the opening ceremony SEA-Teacher batch 7 in the morning. We met and gave a gift from our university to him. He is very kind, friendly and so funny. Then we met a lot of friends who were also 10 participants in this project. There were 8 Filipinos and also 2 girls who are from Thailand. I met nice and smiling friends here.





BUDDIES gave us the information about Indonesia

When the opening ceremony was finished, buddies led us to know about Indonesia at the library.

The dinner party for our buddies... Tong and I cooked Thai foods for another friends. And Filipinos also cooked. We had the dinner party together because we wanted to say Terima kasih (means Thank you) and had a good time together. These are some gifts from my lovely students. Farewell Party For the end of the SEA-Teacher project, there was a farewell party at school for saying goodbye. I showed about Thai dancing. SUMMARY AND SUGGESTIONS

Purpose of Practicum My purpose of practicum in Indonesia is to improve my pedagogy and English skills because I am going to be a teacher of English in the future. Especially, I’d like to improve my speaking skill. I gained a lot of experiences from the school, UII, participants from Philippines, and all of the buddy. So, I am sure that I achieved the purpose of practicum and I will take all of the experiences to improve myself and never stop improving to be a good teacher. Procedures of Practicum We observed the class to know how the teacher delivers the lesson, to know how about the class condition, and prepare to my lesson. Before we have a practice to teach in the class, we should make lesson plans per meeting. In our practice our teachers helped us to make lesson plans before we’re going to teach. We prepared about the materials of teaching before the meeting by any media or some worksheets. We usually used video and PowerPoint presentation to present our lesson. Out...

SD Muhammadiyah Pakem School

In the 3rd week, My 4 Filipino friends, Tong and I went to observe the school by university van. And there was also our buddy, Arfan, who always accompanied us for helping everything he could. The first day, I met the director, the mentor, another teachers and students. They're very kind, friendly and always smiled to me. I felt very happy to be here. When we observed around the school finished, we introduced ourselves to students in each class in Bahasa language. I was very excited to be going to teach them. And they looked excited too!
